Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about UnderConnect, membership and how the platform works.

What is UnderConnect?

UnderConnect is a private B2B hub for Utility Construction. It connects Carriers and Primes offering projects with Primes, Contractors and Subs looking for work — with a trust-verification layer confirming every company on the platform.

Who can join?

Companies operating in utility construction in the United States: Carriers, Prime contractors, and Contractors/Subs across the Power, Gas & Oil, Water & Sewer and Fiber verticals.

Can I browse projects without an account?

No. All projects, searches and company data live inside the platform and are available to verified subscribers only. This is intentional — it protects our members' business and keeps the marketplace trustworthy.

How does verification work?

After you create your account, our team verifies your company before you get full access to the marketplace. Verified members display trust signals that other companies can rely on when choosing partners.

Which regions do you cover?

We're launching in Florida and expanding from there. Create your account to be part of the network as it grows.

How much does it cost?

UnderConnect works on a subscription model. Plans are presented when you create your account — get in touch and we'll walk you through the options for your company profile.

Can one company be both a Prime and a Sub?

No. On UnderConnect each company holds a single position in the chain — Carrier, Prime, Contractor or Subcontractor — and that position is confirmed during verification, not chosen freely.

What Primes and Contractors do get is both sides of the business in one account: they receive opportunities from above and hire below, without keeping a second profile.

I'm looking for work, not hiring. Is UnderConnect for me?

Yes. Jobs is the side of the platform for people, not companies: supervisors, foremen, equipment operators, locators, linemen, splicers, HDD operators, CDL drivers, inspectors and crews. You build a profile with your trade, certifications and the regions where you work, and companies hiring for exactly that can find you.

How do projects and connections work on UnderConnect?

Carriers and Primes publish a project with its vertical and region, and see only verified, eligible companies — ranked by fit. Interested companies raise their hand, the publisher reveals the contact, and from there the deal is closed directly between the companies. UnderConnect presents and qualifies — it never brokers the bid, the contract or the payment.
